Cornservatory Improv Gladiators!

Last night, the boys of Switch performed the first set of their five-week run at the Improv Gladiators Competition. They finished the first week in first place and wil be back to try to defend their lead next week at 8 PM!

The boys are also supporting Committee member Ryan Nallen as he pushes through his “31 Days of Improv,” a personal challenge Ryan made to perform improvisation-based shows every single night of January back to back to back. So far he’s 11 days strong, and Switch will be back to help him see it through this Sunday at the Playground’s Extended Play at 9:30 PM!

One Year Anniversary Show!

This is it, folks! This Wednesday is the last chance to come out and celebrate Switch Committee’s birthday with the boys! Starting at 8 PM our special guests (the all-lady group The Cockpits and Timmy Mayse’s pick-up Pancake Surprise) will hit the stage, followed by the boys themselves! After the three sets (and a little special something) there will be cake and hang-out time for everyone involved!

Stage 773 this Wednesday, December 19th, at 8 PM! Be there or be square!

We’ve been together 1 year!

So next month, Switch Committee will officially be 1 years old. Honestly it feels like we just met yesterday. We have had some of the most fun together hanging out and performing with each other. So much that we are still together after one year. It’s actually not that common that an improv group stays together that long. A lot of members will come and go and groups will disband. While we did lose some members, the group never broke up as a whole. To celebrate this joyous occasion, we are hosting a very special anniversary comedy show. We are so excited it’s ridiculous. There’s going to be cake and punch. If the cake and punch wasn’t enough for you then we can promise hi-fives and hugs as well. We have a stellar lineup of opening groups. People who are very close friends of ours and who have kicked serious comedy ass here in Chicago. Check out the link above for specific information for the event.

We’ve got a show this Friday at the Bughouse Theater. You could see this by clicking the shows tab, but we thought we’d let you know anyway. Ya know. Just in case you didn’t click the tab and had no idea. Just in case you were like, “who the hell do these guys think they are. They have a website, but they don’t do any shows? Where did they get off? The nerve of these people? I’ll call someone about this. I don’t know who, but someone is going to hear about this.” Hopefully that’s not what happened. However, that would have been hilarious if it had.
